What was meant to be a quiet, festive retreat in snow-covered Lapland took an unexpected turn for Kimi and Minttu Räikkönen and their family. According to Finnish gossip magazine Seiska, the Räikkönens’ Christmas in Levi ended not only with a luxurious holiday flight—but also with over-the-top indulgence and a hint of chaos.
After spending the holidays at a cozy cabin in Levi, the family reportedly returned to their lavish lifestyle with style. Minttu Räikkönen shared an Instagram story showing the family boarding a private jet—a “black luxury aircraft”—with scenic mountain views in the background, and a heartfelt “goodbye Finland” message alongside plane- and flag emojis.
Despite their extravagant exit, Minttu kept this year’s gift haul under wraps. That said, Seiska reminded readers of last year’s jaw-dropping present: a Ferrari Purosangue SUV, valued at nearly €360,000, gifted to Minttu by Kimi during the previous festive season.
Following their Finnish getaway, the Räikkönens returned to their lavish Italian home on Lake Como—purchased in autumn 2023. The estate sits in one of the region’s most upscale neighborhoods, nestled among fellow affluent residents . Seiska hints that while their Lapland visit was idyllic, the dramatic, glitzy jet departure left tongues wagging.
Kimi himself offered little insight into the family’s snowy retreat. The only public glimpse was a single Instagram snap of him atop a snowmobile—Kimi keeping things characteristically low-key while the rest of the family seemingly enjoyed the full Christmas experience.
Their holiday in Levi looked blissful, but Seiska suggests things might have ended on a slightly flashy note—private jet rides, silent Instagram stories, and no teasers about 2024’s Christmas surprises. For the Räikkönens, the holiday season clearly remains a mix of cozy traditions and glitzy indulgence.
