Vanessa Bryant Mourns Loss of Former Home in Devastating L.A. Wildfires, Leads Relief Efforts
Vanessa Bryant is mourning the loss of a place filled with cherished memories—her and the late Kobe Bryant’s former home, which was destroyed in the recent Los Angeles wildfires. The residence, located in the Pacific Palisades, was where the couple lived after marrying in 2001. The fire, which tragically originated on the same street, quickly spread and consumed the property along with dozens of others.

In an emotional Instagram post, Vanessa wrote, “Kob and I used to live in the Palisades when we first got married (sadly, that home was on the street where the initial fire started). We have so many beautiful memories from living in L.A. There are no words to make all the loss and devastation any better.” Her heartfelt message resonated with fans and fellow Angelenos who have also been impacted by the deadly fires.
But Vanessa didn’t stop at mourning—she stepped up to help. Through the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation, Vanessa organized a major donation drive, distributing over 8,000 pieces of clothing and sneakers to families displaced by the disaster. The items were handed out at Dodger Stadium with help from volunteers and the Los Angeles Dodgers organization.

The wildfires have taken a severe toll on Southern California, resulting in at least 27 fatalities and forcing more than 30,000 residents to evacuate. Amid the tragedy, Vanessa’s efforts stand as a beacon of hope and resilience, honoring Kobe Bryant’s legacy of community support and generosity.
Vanessa continues to use her platform to raise awareness and provide comfort to those in need, proving once again that her strength and compassion endure, even in the face of personal loss.
