Jason Bonham Honors Led Zeppelin’s ‘Physical Graffiti’ with Passion-Fueled Tribute Tour
Jason Bonham, son of legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, is paying tribute to the band’s iconic double album Physical Graffiti with a powerful new tour in May 2025. Titled An Evening with Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening (JBLZE), the tour features Bonham and his band performing the album in its entirety for the first time, along with other timeless Zeppelin classics.
The tour launched on May 3 in Wallingford, Connecticut, and will conclude on May 31 in Los Angeles, California. Marking the 50th anniversary of Physical Graffiti, this tribute is not only a celebration of the music, but also a deeply personal project for Bonham.
“I do it for passion and the love of the music and the people that come to see it,” Bonham said in a recent interview. “Once they stop coming, then we’ll stop playing it, I guess.”
The 1975 album Physical Graffiti is widely considered one of Led Zeppelin’s greatest works, showcasing their versatility and musical ambition. Tracks like “Kashmir,” “Trampled Under Foot,” and “In My Time of Dying” have become classics, and Bonham holds a special connection to the album — particularly “Kashmir,” which he believes helped define the band’s distinctive sound.
“Now no band can put any kind of Eastern promise in any riff or anything without people going, ‘Oh it sounds like Zeppelin,’” he noted.
For Bonham, this tour is more than just nostalgia — it’s about keeping the spirit of Led Zeppelin alive for new generations. Fans attending these shows can expect not just a performance, but a heartfelt tribute from a drummer who grew up surrounded by the music he now passionately carries forward.
