As more quarterbacks continue to receive major paydays, Brock Purdy remains the NFL’s biggest bargain.
The final pick of the 2022 NFL Draft will receive a $895,000 base salary in 2024. Meanwhile, four quarterbacks (Jared Goff, Trevor Lawrence, Tua Tagovailoa, and Jordan Love) have signed extensions this offseason with an average annual salary above $50 million.
However, Purdy isn’t jealous of his peers. Speaking to NFL Network’s Omar Ruiz, Purdy said he’s not thinking about his turn to receive a raise.
“That’s great. I’m happy for those guys,” Purdy said. “But for me and this team right now, we got to focus on 2024. This season is so long, and there’s so much stuff that you go through. So to get caught up in what the years can look like down the road or anything like that, to me, that’s pretty nonsense.”
