Mike Hailwood, fondly known as “Mike The Bike,” is celebrated as one of the most accomplished and versatile racers in motorsport history. A nine-time Grand Prix motorcycle World Champion, Hailwood dominated the premier 500cc class with four titles aboard the iconic MV Agusta. Over a stellar 10-season career, he amassed an incredible 76 Grand Prix victories, cementing his place among the all-time greats.
Hailwood’s legacy extends far beyond the Grand Prix circuits. He is a legend of the Isle of Man TT, where he claimed a staggering 14 victories, showcasing his fearless determination and unparalleled skill on one of the most challenging road racing courses in the world.
After bidding farewell to motorcycle racing, Hailwood transitioned to car racing. He competed in Formula One and various other prestigious motorsport classes, becoming one of the rare athletes to excel at the highest levels in both two-wheel and four-wheel racing.
Remarkably, after an 11-year hiatus from motorcycle racing, Hailwood returned to the Isle of Man TT at the age of 38 in 197
